UPD CSWCD Alumni Association Unveils Strategic Plan
The UPD CSWCD Alumni Association launched its Strategic Plan for 2024 to 2027, which is the outcome of visioning exercise and series of discussions among its board members and officers. In October 2024, the association administered an online survey among alumni to seek their inputs on the direction of the UPD CSWCDAA. The survey served as an online platform to allow alumni to be involved in the planning process. Recommendations from 126 alumni respondents were taken into consideration in formulating the association’s strategic directions.
The Strategic Plan upholds the vision of the UPD CSWCDAA to be “a thriving and inclusive community of alumni nurturing the Utak at Pusong CSWCD in its shared pursuit of justice, peace, and sustainable well-being of the Filipino people and the global community”. The vision statement echoes the commitment of the college which centers on academic excellence using a “development praxis that is anchored on people’s participation and empowerment, personal and social transformation, solidarity with marginalized groups, and gender-responsiveness”. As part of its mandate, the UPD CSWCDAA endeavors to establish a network of alumni that provides valued services to the college in its mission of academic excellence that nurtures the Utak at Pusong CSWCD.
To achieve this vision, the association will strive to carry out the five Strategic Pathways:
- Pagsinsin. The first pathway will establish the UPD CSWCDAA as a thriving organization which amplifies the CSWCD vision of academic excellence in the pursuit of justice, peace and sustainable well-being of the Filipino people;
- Pangangalaga. The UPD CSWCDAA will develop and strengthen its members to become part of an active network of alumni who embody the values of honor, excellence, and service;
- Pagbabalik. The association will provide the platform for the alumni to “give back” using their resources and expertise in supporting CSWCD and in nurturing the current iskolars into future leaders;
- Pagpapalawak. The UPD CSWCDAA will create strategic partnerships across the university and other key stakeholders to build mutual support towards common goals; and,
- Pagsubaybay. The association will ensure that its governance structure and practices are inclusive, efficient, and relevant in helping the organization accomplish its strategic pathways.
