Once again, it is time for alumni of the University of the Philippines College of Social Work and Community Development (UP CSWCD) to gather for a day of renewing ties, reminiscing good memories, and revitalizing the alumni community.

The UP CSWCD and the UP Diliman CSWCD Alumni Association (UPD CSWCD AA) call upon graduates of Community Development, Social Work, Social Development, and Women and Development, to be part of Pagbabalik 2025: General Alumni Homecoming Celebration. This event will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the UP CSWCD. The theme of the homecoming is, ‘Tatag at Kinang ng Paglilingkod,’ which recognizes the service of CSWCD alumni in the continuing pursuit of justice, peace and sustainable wellbeing of all.

This year’s celebration brings the spotlight on the Department of Social Work, as it marks the 75^th year anniversary of its founding in July 1950.  The event will honor exemplary Social Work alumni by conferring the Distinguished Social Work Alumni Award. The celebration also recognizes jubilarians who graduated in 2015 (10 years), 2000 (25 years), 1985 (40 years), 1975 (50 years), 1965 (60 years), 1952-1960.

The Alumni Homecoming will begin with informal get-together per department, to be followed by a lunchtime Salu-salo for all attendees. The UPD CSWCD AA will hold a General Assembly in the afternoon. The highlight of the event will be the ‘CSWCD Alumni, DSW ay 75 na, Tara at Makisaya!’, a celebration featuring musical and cultural presentation, batch performances, and the awarding of Distinguished Social Work Alumni.

All alumni are enjoined to register on or before July 31, 2025 through this link: Pagbabalik 2025 Online Registration. A registration fee of P2,000 will be collected to help defray the cost of our gathering. The amount also includes payment for the UPD CSWCD AA annual membership fee of P500.
