The CSWCD, under the leadership of Dean Rosalinda Pineda-Ofreneo, conducted a 3-day strategic planning for the next 2 years last 25th to 27th of November 2011. It has successfully fulfilled the objectives of reviewing the 2010 to 2011 strategic plans and formulating the operational plan of the College for 2012 to 2013.
The first day of the Strategic planning was conducted at the CSWCD library. Each Unit of the CSWCD creatively presented highlights of its accomplishment reports. Syntheses of unit reports were also reported which was followed by a workshop to reflect, discuss and assess results and learning from the implementation of the previous strategic plans.
The venue for the last two days of the activity was at the Meralco Development Center in Antipolo City. Results from the previous day’s workshop were reported by clusters. Dr. Judy Taguiwalo and Prof. Marion Tan also provided an overview of the University’s thrust gleaned from the vision papers of the UP President Alfredo Pascual and UP Diliman Chancellor Caesar Saloma, respectively. This was intended to provide an overarching guide to the College’s Strategic Planning. A thematic workshop was done to deepen discussions on pressing and critical issues and concerns of the College and respective units. After the workshop result report, team building socials followed which was immensely enjoyed by the CSWCD faculty and staff.
The previous day’s workshop result was synthesized and was followed by a review and enhancement of Unit Level plans. The presentation of unit-level plans was followed by a synthesis of the three day activity.
Dean Ofreneo commended everyone for a job well done.
