The College of Social Work and Community Development (CSWCD), in partnership with Sikhay Kilos Development Association, Inc., organised the National Conference on “Creating Innovations through Collaborative Action Research and Community Dialogue” held on September 25-26, 2018. The National Conference was attended by individuals and representatives from different organisations – 22 came from the National Capital Region, 29 from Central Luzon, 13 from Visayas, and 13 from Mindanao.

The national conference aimed to collectively identify points of unity and pathways towards synergy and partnership building in response to the alarming human rights crisis as evidenced by the increasing number of summary and extrajudicial killings (EJK) happening in the country.

One of the significant outputs of the conference is a unity statement where individuals and organisations pledged their continued commitment to fight against extrajudicial killings, tyranny and dictatorship.
