What is scholarship? What activities do you consider as research and extension? These are among the questions that the participants in the Research Conference attempted to answer last January 28, 2013. The conference entitled, Reframing Scholarship Based on Multiple Perspectives and Experiences of the CSWCD Community, aimed to provide space for dialogue on scholarship among academic units of CSWCD; to draw out points of convergence and divergence that may provide an ethical outlook as well as challenges to theories of knowledge; and to clarify criteria for what qualifies as research and/or extension and give these proper valuation.

Faculty members, students and staff “duck, hold and cover” when they heard the emergency warning bell. Afterwards, they walked in line and proceeded to their designated assembly areas.
On January 24 at 9:45 in the morning the College conducted its first emergency drill for the year. Every semester, the College holds drills to prepare its constituents on what to do in times of emergency.

Our Dearest Alumni,
On February 18-23, 2013, the College of Social Work and Community Development will have a week-long celebration similar to other colleges and units in celebration of UP Diliman Month. And as practiced during the previous years, the alumni will come together during the same week for their General Assembly, to celebrate with the College and share experiences relative to their respective professional practices.
