Rosalie C. Otero, a Master of Social Work (MSW) student, represented the UP-College of Social Work and Community Development (CSWCD) at the Japan Study Tour organized by Japan College of Social Work (JCSW) on March 5 – 12, 2011. The study tour aims to explore the changing Filipino migration landscape in Japan and establish a network of migrant organizations in relation to multi-cultural social work.
The Philippine Association of Social Workers Inc. (PASWI)-Quezon City Chapter, the Department of Social Work, UP College of Social Work and Community Development (UP CSWCD), and the National Association for Social Work Education Inc. (NASWEI) organized a Consultation-Workshop on the Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development last April 1, 2011, from 1:00- 6:00 pm at the UP CSWCD.
The 2011 issue of the Sikhay Kilos Newsmagazine is now out. It is CSWCD’s annual publication which features updates and reports from the various units of the college and the Dean’s message to the graduates.
