Advanced Studies in HRBA

Four faculty members and two REPS of CSWCD earned their certificate of completion in the Advanced Studies in Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA) last August 24, 2013. For twelve Saturdays starting June 18, the participants attended the training course organized by Bread for the World-Luzon Governance Group (BFW-LGG) and the UP-CSWCD. The main resource person was Ms. Socorro Diokno.

In this training, two sessions on the learner-centered training was coordinated by the Research and Extension for Development Office (REDO). The speakers for these sessions were Prof. Thelma B. Magcuro, Dr. Leticia S. Tojos and Prof. Romano Antonio V. Wamil.

As a final requirement, the participants were asked to conduct a training for a group/community using the things that they have learned in the course.  The UP-CSWCD team conducted their training among members of the All UP Workers Union, focusing on the right to work.
